Backstory: Iren grew up as the daughter of a wealthy, high class family, used to moving among the highest circles of society. Her steadfast lack of interest in romance in general, and in getting married specifically, marked her as merely an eccentric at first. When her father died, her mother fell into a deep depression, blew through most of the family fortune throwing extravagant parties, and eventually just left. Fucked off into the sunset, never to be seen again. Suddenly, Iren was alone in the world, and a lot of people were now looking to her for paying off the family debts.
Iren stood fast in her desires, though. Rather than accepting a marriage offer from some rich merchant or noble family in exchange for securing her future, Iren dove into researching arcane secrets and mysterious powers. As long as she could keep her family afloat, she could maintain her swinging single lifestyle. To the rest of the world, she became a more and more reclusive figure, and her family estate largely remained locked off to most of polite society. She was still making her payments, though no one was sure where the money was coming from.
It turns out, her research into the occult had come to fruit, and she was becoming a powerful sorcerer in her own right. She had found methods by which she could make links to other worlds. She cautiously explored these other worlds and, while she never found the world of endless gold, she did start to learn that what was rare in one might be common in another. By knowing what was needed where, someone could acquire QUITE a large amount of wealth.
Iren the occultist is known across a dozen worlds, in certain circles, as someone who has contact with otherworldly beings, and who might be willing to find you a solution to a problem that no one else in your world could possibly supply. If you're willing to pay...
TL;DR: Woman builds multidimensional network of doorways connected to her mysterious shop so she can use bullshit from one dimension to solve problems in another dimension and make a profit out of it.

Powers
- THAUMATURGY: Iren can form connections between objects (or people). By connecting herself to an object, she can control it as easily as she could her own body. By connecting herself to another person, she can create a telepathic link between them. By connecting two objects to each other, she can effect one by changing the other. Its a very versatile power with a million uses.
- DOORWAYS: Through intricate rituals, Iren can change where a doorway opens to. It can be somewhere else in the same physical space, or off to another dimension entirely. A proper doorway is required for the link to remain stable enough that she feels comfortable actually walking through it in anything other than the most extreme emergencies.
- PORTALS: Iren can still rip holes in space through brute thaumaturgical force. Such holes only last for a few seconds, but they can create an unstable passageway between two points. The edges burn and cut, so you'd have to be pretty desperate to actually try to go through it yourself. The main use is that if someone can NOT be convinced to leave you alone, you can open a portal to some kind of hostile environment and shit fire or monster tentacles or whatever all over the place.
First Impressions
- VISUAL: 5'3"/160cm, light skin, chin length brown hair, curvy build. Clearly not someone who gets a ton of physical exercise. Very femme presentation, prefers skirts and dresses over pants/trousers.
- AURAL: In my head she sounds like Rachel Weisz
- OLFACTORY: Scrupulously clean. She usually favors spicy scents.
- DEMEANOR: Friendly, but always slightly mysterious. Iren delights in knowing more than the person she is talking to
IC Permissions
- PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Iren is open with her affections, and will usually respond to flirting positively as long as you don't creep her out.
- PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I'm not against it, though Iren is not much of a fighter. If you can get past her magical defenses, she will probably panic and surrender or run away.
- RELATIONSHIPS: Iren loves having friends and doesn't mind getting intimate with her friends, but she is uninterested in any form of romantic relationship. Bisexual aromantic.
- MAGICAL INFORMATION: Iren does not have a particularly large amount of raw magical power, but she is an EXPERT at finding connections between things and using those connections as levers. A magical scan might give a vague impression of a vast spiderweb with her in the center
- MEDICAL INFORMATION: Reasonably healthy adult woman
- OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Iren will quickly get irritated or uncomfortable in any extended conversation about marriage or weddings
